Despite Santi Cazorla missing a penalty early on, Arsenal ran out emphatic winners, with Joel Campbell and Alex Iwobi hitting braces, while Cazorla, Theo Walcott and Chuba Akpom were also on the scoresheet, with Viking scoring an own goal to add to their woes.
As far as Arsenal’s youngsters are concerned, the biggest plus point was the performance of Krystian Bielik, who again was hugely impressive at the heart of the defence.
The Pole seems perfectly suited to Arsenal’s style and, although he has several players ahead of him, Bielik is an excellent prospect.
Chris Willock and Gedion Zelalem featured as substitutes but neither player was able to have much of an impact on proceedings.
However, some of the younger squad members on show, such as Akpom, Iwobi and Reine-Adelaide, were hugely impressive and attention will now turn towards the final friendly against Manchester City on Sunday.
