Wojciech Szczesny played the whole game as Roma beat Lazio 4-1.

Wellington didn’t feature as Bolton Wanderers were thrashed 4-1 by Derby County; a result that saw the club relegated to League One.

Chuba Akpom and Isaac Hayden didn’t feature as Hull City drew 2-2 with Huddersfield Town.

  1. It’s sad that this year there are so many loan players that are not reaching their promised potential…

Apart from Toral that seems to really deserve a shot at first team next summer during preseason…

    Sanogo- Diaby MK2
Niles- got a mother who just so happens to be a nutcase and seems to be genuinely set on ruining her sons career by any and all means possible.
Debuchy- most likely will be sold, since it looks he’s fallen apart since arriving at Arsenal.
Szcezny- full of smoke, but got no fire.
Akpom/Hayden- struggling to break into championship teams starting 11.
Zelalem- hardly features for Rangers, but he’s got 2 more years so that kind of grants a let off for now.

      1. It is true and I agree, at the same time, Bellerin was a benefactor of extreme circumstances as was Coquelin.

Like Wenger said, there are six or seven youngsters(18-21) year olds that could break into first team in next two years and be the base of Arsenal footbal club for a decade or so. Hence, let’s not forget the failed project ‘British’ or at least first part of it seems to be stagnating.

The likes of Toral, Zelalem, Nketiah, Bielik, Niles, Crowley, Hayden, Akpom, Reine-Adelaide , they are all full of potential, but as my 10 years of following and supporting this club came to show, to break into first team and be a mainstay there for years is extremely difficult task. I guess Walcott, Chamberlain, Gibbs can all be taken as an example, even Denilson from past generation, they were all promising fellows, but with time they ceased progressing and evolving as players, some got star struck, some just got bored(or so it looked).

Again I’m always hopeful and wish the kids all the best but I take all of them with a huge pinch of salt, they have still all to prove, the challenge is ahead and I’m hoping to see at least 2-3 from all the mentioned ones to succeed in their further careers at Arsenal.
