Arsenal U17s got off to an impressive start in the ABN AMRO Future Cup today as they overcame Red Bull Salzburg and Right to Dream in their first two fixtures in the competition.

The young Gunners dispatched of Red Bull Salzburg with a 2-1 victory with the prolific Edward Nketiah and schoolboy Trae Coyle on the scoresheet, although defender Joseph Olowu was sent off and goalkeeper Joao Virginia had to make some vital saves to keep the opposition at bay.

Arsenal won 2-0 against Right to Dream, with Joe Willock opening the scoring with a penalty before Nketiah found the net once more. Emile Smith-Rowe, who turned down Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur to agree a new deal at Arsenal this week, missed a chance to add further gloss to the scoreline.
