Loan report-Kamara makes Southend debut; Akpom comes close to scoring

Glen Kamara was introduced as a substitute at the start of the second half and made his senior debut for Southend United in the 3-0 victory over Colchester United.

Isaac Hayden played the whole game and was booked as Hull City lost 1-0 to Burnley. Chuba Akpom was introduced as a substitute in the 76th minute and had a shot saved.

Mathieu Debuchy started at right-back and played the whole 90 minutes as Bordeaux lost 4-1 to Saint-Etienne.

Jon Toral started and played 71 minutes as Birmingham City lost 2-1 to Sheffield Wednesday.

Wellington played 81 minutes as Bolton Wanderers beat Rotherham United 2-1.

Gedion Zelalem played 61 minutes before being withdrawn as Rangers were held to a goalless draw by Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup.

Wojciech Szczesny starts for Roma against Sampdoria tonight.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles was an un-used substitute as Ipswich Town were beaten 1-0 by Queens Park Rangers.

Yaya Sanogo wasn’t involved as Charlton Athletic lost 1-0 to Bristol City.

Emiliano Martinez missed out through injury as Wolverhampton Wanderers drew 0-0 with Reading.

    i was wondering do you know anything about the refit going on at hale end at the moment, i remember seeing on arsenal.com gazidis saying it would be completed in feb 2016. do you know if this is the case and are the club going to announce it soon, have you seen what it looks like is it nice form what i have seen of the plans online, it is 2 new buildings attached to the dome and 3 new pitches being laid and some nice landscaping. do you think it is state of the art enough to draw the best young talent around the world to it, and will it improve the talent of our young players Coming from there. it would be interesting to write a piece on it to show us what it is about and the improvements and benefits it will bring us the future.

    p.s – have you seen the new buildings and pitches yet
