Chuba Akpom scored his first club goal since August and was named as the man of the match as Hull City beat Ipswich Town 3-0 last night.

The England U21 international was one of two Arsenal loanees involved in the game at the KC Stadium, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles featuring for Ipswich. Isaac Hayden, however, wasn’t involved.

Meanwhile, Wellington, Dan Crowley and Jon Toral all featured for their respective loan sides as substitutes last night.

In Chile, three Arsenal youngsters featured as England U17s were beaten 1-0 by Brazil U17s in their latest group stage fixture in the World Cup for that age group.

Chris Willock was the only Arsenal representative to start the game, whilst Kaylen Hinds, who scored in the victory over Guinea, and Stephy Mavididi, were introduced as substitutes.

  1. Hey Jeorge, Do you have any thoughts or inside scoop on Gnabry being potentially called back? With Ramsey out as well, we’re down to Campbell and Iwobi as attacking squad depth… Or do you think Arsenal leaves him there on purpose to get some tough love/experience of a gritty team and practice? I miss the Gnabry of 2 seasons ago. Hope he reappears.

      1. Maybe there is too much Football Manager in my brain, but isn’t there a difference between a Loan for a Fee and just a season-long loan? I thought we could recall any player unless other side purposefully paid a fee besides salary? Thanks, Jeorge.
