Macey to make the bench as Kamara trains with first-team + Youth League preview

Matt Macey and Glen Kamara- the only available members of Arsenal’s U21 squad who aren’t eligible for the UEFA Youth League- trained with the club’s senior squad at London Colney this morning prior to tomorrow’s Champions League game at home to Bayern Munich.

With David Ospina out with a shoulder injury, Macey, as he was against Watford on Saturday, will be on the bench tomorrow night as back-up to Petr Cech.

Gabriel returned from injury to train today and is in contention to make the squad, but long-term absentees Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Danny Welbeck are all still out.

Possible team:

Subs: Macey, Debuchy, Gabriel, Gibbs, Arteta, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud.

Arsenal also take on Bayern Munich in the UEFA Youth League tomorrow in a game that kicks off at 1pm at Meadow Park, Borehamwood.

The young Gunners, who have won both of their opening group games, will face the German side without Jeff Reine-Adelaide, Kaylen Hinds, Chris Willock and Stephy Mavididi, who are all at the U17 World Cup, and Yassin Fortune, who is on international duty with France.

Right-back Tafari Moore is doubtful because of injury, whilst Chiori Johnson is expected to miss out again.

Bayern have, somewhat surprisingly, lost both of their fixtures in this competition so far this season.

Possible team:

Eyoma-Bielik-Pleguezuelo-M. Bola

Sheaf-Agyei Tabi

Subs: Huddart, O’Connor, Chatzitheodoridis, Dragomir, Robinson, DaSilva, Bennacer.
