Malen scores and Dragomir assists as Arsenal U18s draw with Leicester

Donyell Malen scored his first goal for the club today, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Arsenal U18s from dropping further points as they drew 2-2 with Leicester City at London Colney.

Malen, who joined from Ajax in the summer, opened the scoring with an excellent strike, before Tyrell Robinson made it 2-0 after latching onto a pass from Vlad Dragomir, who was making his first start at this level.

However, Leicester managed to stage a dramatic comeback as they quickly reduced the deficit to 2-1 before an own goal levelled proceedings.

Arsenal’s next game at this level is away to Southampton next week.

There were three changes to the starting line-up for this fixture, with Tolaji Bola, Savvas Mourgos and Dragomir coming in for Kristopher Da Graca, Charlie Gilmour and Joshua DaSilva.
