New defender amongst 42 youngsters in Arsenal’s Premier League squad

Arsenal have submitted their 22-man Premier League squad for this season, with all of the club’s senior players making the cut.
The club have fulfilled their quota of homegrown senior players, with Francis Coquelin, Kieran Gibbs, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck all falling into that category.

As far as the U21 list is concerned, first-team players Hector Bellerin and Calum Chambers add included along with many of the players currently out on loan.

However, those players that are out on loan and are over 21, namely Wojciech Szczesny, Carl Jenkinson, Emiliano Martinez and Wellington, haven’t been included.

The vast majority of the club’s U18 players are included, with Ismael Bennacer and Kostas Pileas both named, although Vlad Dragomir and Donyell Malen have been left out as they wait for their transfers to be approved by FIFA.

First-year scholar Joe Willock, who has yet to feature for the U18s this season, has also surprisingly been omitted.
