The Arsenal first-team participated in their final training session this morning ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League game against Liverpool at Emirates Stadium.

Young defender Stefan O’Connor, who made his first-team debut in the Champions League last season, trained with the squad today, with winger Jeff Reine-Adelaide also called upon along with centre-back Julio Pleguezuelo and goalkeeper Matt Macey.

Joel Campbell continued to train with the group, with manager Arsene Wenger having recently remarked that he would like to retain the services of the Costa Rican winger. However, Jack Wilshere (ankle) missed the session as did Danny Welbeck and Tomas Rosicky, who are both still struggling with knee problems.

Wenger is unlikely to make too many alterations to his starting line-up for tomorrow’s game, with Olivier Giroud hopeful of keeping his place in the team after scoring against Crystal Palace. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, meanwhile, may count himself a little unlucky not to have started against Palace, but it seems unlikely that Wenger will leave Aaron Ramsey out of the side.

Calum Chambers and Mathieu Flamini are likely to be left out of the squad again, along with Campbell.

  1. Dear all, what is it that Mr Wenger fears about spending money ?? we have a bucketful and he should buy now , we need to as we will never win anything significant with the rubish we have , lets face it two very bad performances so far and nothing coming thru the ranks give the youngsters a go if you dont want to spend , ITS not your personel dough so buy someone we need before we slide all the way to the bottom
