Toral replaces Reine-Adelaide in Arsenal’s Asia squad

Arsenal’s 27-man squad for the Premier League Asia Trophy set off for the trip today, but there was an alteration to the initial squad list, with Jon Toral replacing Jeff Reine-Adelaide.

Reine-Adelaide, a recent signing from Lens, was a surprise inclusion in the squad but, for an as yet unidenitifed reason, Toral was drafted in instead.

Toral has been an Arsenal player for four years and enjoyed a successful loan spell at Brentford last season. The Spaniard will hope to impress sufficiently to earn further first- team opportunities when the season gets underway.

Meanwhile, Championship side Ipswich Town, who have already taken Ainsley Maitland-Niles on a season-long loan, are confident of agreeing a loan deal with another, as yet unnamed, Arsenal youngster before the start of the new campaign.

  1. Don’t know if its because of injury or what, but nevertheless i think this is fair. Toral was very impressive despite mainly being a bench player last season at Brentford and deserved a chance to prove himself with the first team. Nothing against Adelaide but he’s got a lot more time on his side to prove himself whereas i believe Toral is in his last year.

  2. hey, though its irrelevant to the topic, just wanted know, where the hell is SAMUEL GALINDO,whether his contract has been terminated.thanx in advance

  3. Jeorge, our under 18 are playing Ipswich tommorrow. Do you know what time and in which ground will the match be played

      1. I have seen Dragomir, DaSilva and Hinds posting in their instagram that they have a game today against Ipswich
