Loan report- Campbell hits the crossbar; Sanogo has goal disallowed

Joel Campbell started on the right wing and played the whole game as Villarreal drew 0-0 with Cordoba. The Costa Rica international hit the crossbar with one effort.

Yaya Sanogo was introduced for the final ten minutes as Crystal Palace lost 2-0 to West Bromwich Albion. The striker found the net late on but his effort was ruled out for offside.

Chuba Akpom was introduced as a substitute in the 89th minute and had little time to make an impact on proceedings as Nottingham Forest drew 3-3 with Blackburn Rovers. Arsenal academy graduate Henri Lansbury was amongst the scorers for Forest.

Wellington started on the right wing but was replaced after four minutes of the second half as Almeria lost 2-0 to Rayo Vallecano.

Jon Toral was brought on in the 79th minute as Brentford drew 2-2 with Bolton Wanderers. The Spaniard created a chance for Harlee Dean before seeing his own attempt cleared.

Carl Jenkinson played the entirety of West Ham United’s 2-0 defeat by Manchester City. The right-back made a good interception to deny Sergio Aguero, but was caught too high up the field at times.

Jack Jebb returned from injury to play the last 12 minutes of Stevenage’s 2-2 draw with Accrington Stanley.

Josh Vickers was in goal as Concord Rangers lost 1-0 to Hayes & Yeading United.

Emiliano Martinez‘s Rotherham United weren’t in action this weekend, but the goalkeeper did play the whole game against Fulham in midweek and made a good save in the 1-1 draw.

Lukas Podolski was an un-used substitute as Inter Milan drew 0-0 with AC Milan.

Ryo wasn’t part of the FC Twente side that lost 1-0 to Utrecht.

Semi Ajayi didn’t make the Cardiff City squad for their goalless draw with Millwall.

  1. I see Rotherham might get docked points for an admin error, that would likely see them relegated. Martinez seems to be doing very well for them, lots of positive reports.
