Arsenal midfielder Jack Jebb, who is currently on loan at Stevenage, has been ruled out for the next six to eight weeks with a medial ligament injury.
Jebb has featured five times since joining the League Two side on a temporary basis in October, but his injury setback casts his loan spell into doubt, with the current agreement between the two teams set to expire on January 17th.
The former England U17 international has endured a frustrating campaign- he initially failed to hold down a regular place in Arsenal’s U21 side and has featured mainly as a substitute for Stevenage.
An excellent passer and a superb free-kick taker, Jebb has long been regarded as a promising talent but he has had to bide his time for opportunities to impress in the past couple of campaigns.
In other news The Evening Standard reports that Arsenal are close to agreeing a £1.6 million deal for Polish midfielder Krystian Bielik.
