Loan report- Afobe takes tally to 15 goals; Olsson assists; Wellington features against Barcelona

Benik Afobe scored twice, taking his tally for the season to 15 goals, as MK Dons beat Port Vale 4-3 in the FA Cup First Round.

Afobe scored his first goal from close range, with the striker later finding the net from the penalty spot to continue his impressive form. He was withdrawn in stoppage time.

Having made his debut for his temporary club in midweek, Francis Coquelin was again introduced as a substitute for Charlton Athletic yesterday, with the defensive-midfielder playing the final 26 minutes of the 1-0 win over Reading.

Jon Toral scored an impressive goal in midweek for Brentford. The midfielder recovered from injury to start in the 3-2 victory over Millwall yesterday and came close to scoring on a couple of occasions, but he had to be substituted after 76 minutes after sustaining another problem.

Kristoffer Olsson is starting to make an impact at Midtjylland. The Swedish U21 international started and set up a goal as his team beat struggling Silkeborg 2-1. Olsson was substituted with 11 minutes left.

Carl Jenkinson played the whole game and helped West Ham United to keep a clean sheet as they drew 0-0 with Aston Villa.

Wellington was introduced for the last five minutes of Almeria’s 2-1 defeat to Barcelona.

Austin Lipman was brought on for the final 22 minutes as Boreham Wood beat Wealdstone 2-1. The striker had a shot saved by the impressive opposition goalkeeper.

Ryo was an un-used substitute as Twente thrashed Dordrecht 4-0.

Jack Jebb missed out through injury as Stevenage drew 0-0 with Maidstone United in the FA Cup.

Josh Vickers will have to wait to make his debut for Concord Rangers after their FA Cup tie against Mansfield Town was postponed.

  1. Jeorge, I realy wish Ollson to come back. He seems to have matured physically. Also, can you create youtube videos of Toral, Afobe and Ollson on their performances. According to some brentford fans on the forum, Toral performances has been very good
