Pre-Swansea training report: Bellerin involved whilst Bendtner returns

Hector Bellerin joined the first-team this morning for their final training session ahead of tomorrow’s game at home to Swansea City. Midfielder Jack Jebb was also included again.

Nicklas Bendtner, who had been isolated from the set-up following his recent disciplinary problems, also returned to the fold, although it is not clear whether the Danish striker will be involved in any capacity tomorrow. There is a doubt over Laurent Koscielny, who was substituted at half-time during the heavy defeat by Chelsea. It has also not yet been confirmed whether the red card that was shown in error to Kieran Gibbs has been transferred to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Theo Walcott, Abou Diaby, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Mesut Ozil and Ryo are all still injured, whilst Gedion Zelalem should be involved for the U21s against West Ham United this afternoon.

Players in training today: Wojciech Szczesny, Lukasz Fabianski, Emiliano
Viviano, Bacary Sagna, Carl Jenkinson, Per Mertesacker, Thomas Vermaelen, Kieran Gibbs, Nacho Monreal, Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Tomas Rosicky, Santi Cazorla, Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud, Yaya Sanogo, Nicklas Bendtner, Hector Bellerin, Kim Kallstrom, Serge Gnabry, Jack Jebb,

  1. booger. Means my hopes for Chuba and also Hayden being in the mix for Tues are dashed.

On the bright side- yes!- Akopom’s scored within ten for u21’s and already rounded keeper before that.

The signs are there that he is improving rapidly and can make it. I aint deluding myself just cos I want so badly a player to make it from youth in that position!
