Arsenal youngster Anthony Jeffrey is on trial with RKC Waalwijk, according to reports in Holland.
The Hale End product is currently on loan at Conference South side Boreham Wood, for whom he has been in imperious form recently, but, with his Arsenal contract set to expire in the summer, the winger is assessing his options ahead of next season.
Renowned for his devastating pace, Jeffrey also made a single substitute appearance for League One side Stevenage during a loan spell last season, but has struggled to command a place in the Arsenal U21 team, having featured just four times at that level.
A move to Holland would be a little out of the ordinary for an English youngster, but the 19 year old, who featured for Arsenal’s U18 side whilst still a schoolboy, would surely benefit from regular playing time in a competitive league.
Having joined Boreham Wood on loan in early December, Jeffrey has scored six goals in nine appearances for the Hertfordshire club, with his deal there having recently been extended until March. Now, though, it appears that he could have other options.
