Loan report- Jeffrey scores brace, whilst Aneke provides another assist

Chuks Aneke played the whole game as Crewe Alexandra drew 1-1 with Shrewsbury Town, the side against whom he made his Arsenal senior debut. Aneke set up a goal for Tom Hitchcock in the first-half and came close to scoring himself on several occasions.

Anthony Jeffrey delivered another virtuoso performance, with the winger scoring both of Boreham Wood’s goals during their 2-0 victory over Whitehawk in the Skrill South. Jeffrey was a constant threat throughout with his pace and scored in either half, with Austin Lipman, who played the first 67 minutes, also coming close to scoring.

Joel Campbell played the whole game as Olympiacos ended 2013 with a 5-0 thrashing of Apollon Smirnis.

Johan Djourou played the whole game and received a yellow card as Hamburg lost 3-2 to Mainz, whilst Francis Coquelin was again absent through injury, meaning he missed Freiburg’s 2-1 victory over Hannover.

Damian Martinez failed to stop strikes from Matt Ritchie and Lewis Grabban as Sheffield Wednesday lost 2-1 to Bournemouth in the Championship. Nico Yennaris didn’t even make the bench for the visitors. In the same division, Ignasi Miquel was an un-used substitute as Leicester City beat Queen’s Park Rangers 1-0, whilst Hector Bellerin missed out through injury as Watford drew 1-1 away to Ipswich Town in their first match under Giuseppe Sannino.

Wellington emerged as a 76th minute substitute as Murcia drew 0-0 with Real Zaragoza, whilst Josh Vickers couldn’t prevent Canvey Island from suffering a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Kingstonian.

  1. How many years of the richest paid manager in the world being in charge of our club and not winning anything? 13?….14?……15? Wenger Out

    1. 1) How does this relate to the article?
      2) Your either a troll or a stupid fan. Who would you like to manage Arsenal? Give me some realistic names.

  2. Hi Jeorge, what’s your view Nico Yennaris and his loan at Bournmouth?
I really like him as a player, but wonder why he has failed to make any impression thus far.
Would you blame Bournmouth’s handling of him?
Do you think that Arsenal should recall him?

    1. It can be difficult for managers to trust young players when every point is vital, but Yennaris hasn’t played a single minute for Bournemouth and should be recalled when his loan finishes on January 2nd unless something drastically changes before then.

      1. Lowestoft V Canvey today good to see Vickers doing well four excellent saves and good feet and ball distribution .
Done well to keep score to 2.1

  3. Olympiacos scored five and Campbell did not have a hand in any of the goal. May be he was of his game. Sadly for Jeffery, he won’t make at Arsenal. Martinez had realy a bad game conceding two poor goals. I would love it if Aneke make to the first team.
