Of the trio, only Zelalem is likely to make the matchday squad for the fixture, with the 16 year old having also made the trip to face Fulham at Craven Cottage at the weekend. Serge Gnabry did not train today and may miss out, but there was some positive news with centre-back Laurent Koscielny coming through the workout unscathed, meaning that he will be available for tomorrow’s game.

Ryo Miyaichi, meanwhile, who has struggled with injury in recent weeks, made his return to full training, but is unlikely to be considered against Fenerbahce. Thomas Vermaelen, Abou Diaby, Mikel Arteta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain remain out, with Ju-Young Park and Nicklas Bendtner hoping to secure moves away from the club before next Monday’s transfer deadline.

Trialist Ramy Bensebaini, meanwhile, trained with the club’s U21 side and will continue to do so for a further week, after which a decision will be made on whether Arsenal will sign him. The centre-back endured a torrid time during his two pre-season outings for the second-string, but has caught the eye of Arsene Wenger and his coaching staff in training.

The full list of players that trained wit the first-team today is as follows: Szczesny, Fabianski, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Ramsey, Rosicky, Cazorla, Walcott, Giroud, Podolski, Wilshere, Zelalem, Frimpong, Sanogo, Monreal, Jenkinson, Ryo, Hayden, Bellerin.
