Building on a highly-promising first season at the club following his move from Stuttgart, Germany U18 winger Serge made a surprisingly early foray into the first-team set-up last season, making his Premier League and Champions League debuts within a matter of days.
A lack of options saw the youngster thrown on for the latter stages of the defeat to Norwich City at Carrow Road, before he also made a cameo appearance in the loss to Schalke. Serge also featured twice in the Capital One Cup, but played the majority of his football at U21 level, scoring three times in twelve appearances, whilst he also featured in the NextGen Series, in which he scored a stunning goal against Chelsea to force extra-time in the semi-finals.
With considerable experience of youth football now under his belt, Serge will be expected to push on this campaign and could add to his four appearances for the first-team in the first half of the campaign before experiencing a loan spell in the second half of the season.
