Macedonian youth goalkeeper Deyan secured his move to Arsenal late in the summer 2012 transfer window having impressed whilst on trial at London Colney. The shot-stopper, who was signed from FK Belastica in his homeland, went on to feature prominently during his first season at the club, playing in the NextGen Series, the FA Youth Cup and the Academy League.

He was a key part of the side that reached the Semi-Finals of the NextGen Series, making several impressive stops along the way, but had a game to forget against Chelsea when he made a costly error to allow the opposition to score.
He also endured some difficult moments at U18 level, conceding six goals in one game against Aston Villa, but enjoyed better times in the FA Youth Cup, and, having made the bench for the U21s on several occasions in the second half of the season, he will expect to make his debut for the second-string this time around.

Dejan’s number is 51, not 68!
