41. Daniel Boateng (On loan at Hibernian, until May 2014)

A powerful and commanding centre-back who can also operate at right-back, Daniel endured a frustrating 2012/13 campaign as he suffered with injuries and was restricted to just two league appearances whilst on loan at Oxford United.

The Hale End product’s lack of game time was a similar story to his spell with Swindon Town the previous campaign, although he did make a handful of appearances for Arsenal’s U21s last season, and is closing in on 40 appearances for the second-string.

A member of the side that won the Premier Academy League in 2010, Daniel made his first-team debut for Arsenal as a substitute against Bolton Wanderers in the Carling Cup the following year, but the forthcoming campaign is poised to be his last at the club, with his contract due to expire next summer.

He is likely to spend the season out on loan in the hope of earning a permanent deal elsewhere.
