51. Benik Afobe

A striker once regarded as one of the club’s most promising prospects, injuries and loan spells have dictated that Benik is still yet to make his competitive debut for the first-team by the age of 20.

Last season was another case in point regarding his injury woes as he initially struggled during a spell with Bolton Wanderers before re-discovering his best form with Millwall following the turn of the year. However, his spell at the New Den was soon cut short by an injury which disrupted his pre-season plans for the forthcoming campaign.

A prolific goalscorer at youth level for club and country, Benik steered Arsenal U18s to Academy League success in 2010, and has also featured for the first-team in pre-season friendlies, but has struggled to make the impact that many anticipated he would.

Benik, who has also previously experienced spells with Huddersfield Town and Reading, has been capped by England at U21 level and was part of the England U17 side that won the European Championships at that level in 2010.

This season, he will be hoping to steer clear of injuries and finally make his fully-fledged first-team debut for the club.

Benik just needs to keep working & developing on everything [Finishing on left & right foot, technique/dribbling, passing, movement off the ball, 1st touch, heading, tactically, plyometrics for physical improvement & mentally]
