Luke Chambers

Highly-rated stopper Luke Chambers’ move to Arsenal passed by almost un-noticed last summer- but the goalkeeper is determined to make a name for himself this time around.
Chambers turned d0wn approaches from Liverpool and Manchester City to link up with the Gunners in summer 2008 after the conclusion of his contract at Derby. He was offered a 2-year schoolboy contract by Liam Brady and his chances of earning a scholarship will be assessed at the end of this campaign.
Chambers began life in the u-15s but was promoted to the u-16s for the visit of Norwich to London Colney in December. Despite letting in four goals, he made some world-class saves in a remarkable 4-4 draw.
Luke’s good form for Steve Gatting’s side saw him named on the bench for the u-18s for three Premier Academy League fixtures last campaign and he will be second-choice behind Sean McDermott in 2009/10.
Extremely tall for his age, Luke’s languid, unorthodox style has won him rave reviews and this campaign looks set to be a big one in his fledgling career.
