What is the sittuation with the academies set up in Vietnam and Thailand. Do you have any news of how they are progressing.

It’s still early days at the moment, but the word is that Arsenal are set to offer trials to some of the most promising prospects but it’s not confirmed yet

I know this isn’t that relevant to the above article but, I was wondering if you (Jeorge) had any access to the fitness and speed test results from the Arsenal players, senior and junior, as I saw that you knew Gavin Hoyte to be the fastest of all the players at Arsenal. I think that would make for an interesting little article. thanks

he’s still young so it is difficult to predict how good he will be at the highest level, but he is certainly a decent prospect.

yes, he should play in the carling cup and maybe some premier league games but he could be loaned out to ajax instead.

we play them at under-18 level, but i’m not sure about the lower levels. i heard that we don’t play them on five live and they said it is to stop the youngsters wanting to change clubs, but i don’t know if its true.
