PEDRO BOTELHO (AT SALAMANCA, UNTIL JUNE 2009)

Left-back Pedro spent the second half of last season on loan at feeder club Salamanca. Having signed for Arsenal last summer from Figuriense, the Brazilian-born full-back trained with his new team-mates at Emirates Stadium on Members Day. He then headed back to Brazil until January when he was eligible to play for Salamanca. He made a handful of apperances for the Spanish club and will continue to play for them on loan next season.

    Thanks.

I didn’t include Djourou as he is a first-team player and although he was at member’s day arsenal haven’t confirmed the signing of pedro silva as far as i’m aware.

  5. Cookie Says:

Jeorge, where is information about Pedro, who plays for Salamanca this season?

  6. jeorge9 Says:

Alright, i’ll add him. I knew about him, I just wasn’t sure it was official

  7. halley Says:

    jeorge,
please please tell me where you get this info from. the official sight says nothing about pedro silva! i dont wish to be rude, but it seems a lot of your stuff is opiniated - how often do you actually see these guys on loan, or even the youth play?

  8. jeorge9 Says:

i often go to watch u-18 games at the training ground, i have also been to every single home reserve game for the last two years. i watch the highlights on arsenal tv or tv online and some of the other information is taken from trusted sources. the major aspect of this blog is opinionated as it’s a worthy discussion as to who is playing well and who isn’t and who is most likely to make it at arsenal

Arsenal haven’t written anything official about Pedro, but they often don’t when it’s very young players not directly connected to the first team.

But I read on the official Salamanca page in the summer, that he was indeed signed by Arsenal and they have made the loan agreement with the spanish club, so I think this is pretty official.

Btw his full name is Pedro Roberto Silva Botelho and in Spain he uses BOTELHO on his shirt.
