77. Chris Willock

Hugely-promising youngster Chris made his Arsenal first-team debut just weeks after signing his scholarship deal. The Hale End product, who can play as a winger or an advanced midfielder, played 45 minutes in the victory over Boreham Wood and was largely impressive.

Last season, despite enduring some injury problems, Chris trained with the senior squad and was named on the bench for the UEFA Youth League trip to Marseille. Having made his U18 debut the previous season, he was called upon a further 12 times as that level during 2013/14, and scored his first goal in the victory over West Bromwich Albion.

Somewhat slight in physique, but extremely skilful, Chris could well make his U21 debut this season.

“Arsenal’s Chris Willock struck me as one with a wonderful first touch and any time he received the ball it was under control instantly.” (Andy Walker, Sky Sports News, http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/20245/9055505/andy-walker-blogs-on-a-bright-future-for-scottish-football, 03/12/2013).
