Under-18 apps: 15
A tall, commanding centre-back, Zach established himself as something of a regular in the under-18 side during his first season as a scholar.
Comfortable on the ball and a good reader of the game, he did experience some teething problems early on as he adjusted to Premier Academy League life, but developed as the campaign progressed, and went on to make 15 appearances in total, all but one of which were starts. Zach’s continued progression was rewarded with a maiden call up to the Reserve squad for the victory over Swansea.
This season Zach, who missed much of his final season as a schoolboy due to injury, will have his sights firmly set on earning a professional contract at the club, with the Hale End product seeking to become a more regular presence in the second-string squad.
