Arsenal have submitted their revised Champions League squad ahead of this month’s Last 16 double-header with Bayern Munich, with Hector Bellerin, Benik Afobe and Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill amongst several players added to the list.

Afobe, who recently returned from a loan spell with Bolton Wanderers, has been allocated the number 51 shirt.
Bellerin, who was named as a substitute on two occasions in the Capital One Cup this season, is included on the A-List, whilst Afobe joins fellow returning loanees Daniel Boateng and Conor Henderson on the B-List, which is strictly for U21 players. Craig Eastmond, therefore, had to be included on the A-List, as he was born in 1990, whilst left-back Ormonde-Ottewill is included in the squad for the first time and has been allocated the number 71 shirt for the remainder of this season.
New signing Nacho Monreal is ineligible having already played twice in this competition for previous club Malaga this season. Thomas Eisfeld, Damian Martinez, Kristoffer Olsson, Deyan Iliev, Jon Toral and Leander Siemann are all left out as they are not eligible for the B-List, having not yet completed two whole years as Arsenal players. The majority of the players currently out on loan have been omitted, although some, such as Johan Djourou and Marouane Chamakh, are still included.

* List B
From UEFA rules:
There are 25 slots on List A, at least 8 of which must be “club-trained players”. The list must not contain more than four “association-trained players”.
A “club-trained player” is a player who, between the age of 15 (or the start of
the season during which he turns 15) and 21 (or the end of the season during
which he turns 21), and irrespective of his nationality and age, has been
registered with his current club for a period, continuous or not, of three entire
seasons (i.e. a period starting with the first official match of the relevant
national championship and ending with the last official match of that relevant
national championship) or of 36 months.
An “association-trained player” is a player who, between the age of 15 (or the
start of the season during which the player turns 15) and 21 (or the end of the
season during which the player turns 21), and irrespective of his nationality
and age, has been registered with a club or with other clubs affiliated to the
same association as that of his current club for a period, continuous or not, of
three entire seasons or of 36 months.
A player may be registered on List B if he is born on or after 1 January 1991
and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted
period of two years since his 15th birthday by the time he is registered with
UEFA. Players aged 16 may be registered on List B if they have been
registered with the participating club for the previous two years without interruption.

I know it is only a adding to a huge list of names, but at least it gives a boost to them, even if it is unlikely to play. No disrespect to Eastmond, but it must have been a close run thing between him and Eisfeld going on the A-list?
I just would like to see them having a bit more luck with injuries too?
Chuba Akpom scored two goals today in the first half for England U19s in a friendly v. Denmark U19s. Youngest player in the squad as well.
No wonder Wenger couldn’t or wouldn’t tell us who was going to play at left-back against Bayern Munich!!! I know it will probably be Santos, but wouldn’t it be great if he slipped Ormande-Ottewill or Meade in there??? The “fans” would go even crazier and have an absolute shit fit because they “have never heard of these guys before”. I know they’re only a kids, but surely, surely they could do a better job defensively than Santos could. How long will Meade be out, does anyone know???
I actually think we could beat Bayern if somehow Santos doesn’t play…even if he does, I still think we could beat them. I’m just a little nervous about that left -back position.
Jernade Meade is out for around 3 to 4 weeks with ligament damage
I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Vermaelen play at LB with Kos and Per in the middle. With Bayern’s talent, we’re going to be pegged back a lot of the time so need an LB who can defend
Please do not play Santos. We will lose the game before we start
Never heard much about Ormonde-Ottewill. Any idea if he’s a decent prospect? Also is he a tall defender or short like Meade? I think height is something that counted against Meade in the managers eyes.
I guess the same height as Alves. Seems just a few centimeters from Walcotts 178cm. I hope he makes it but was missing out from National team.
He is short like Meade
Reality check …..
Thank you and goodbye because you add no value :
Tomáš Rosický,
André Santos,
Sébastien Squillaci
Johan Djourou,
Łukasz Fabiański,
Andrey Arshavin,
Vito Mannone,
Gervinho,
Marouane Chamakh
Why did we even bother naming these has beens
As for Bacary Sagna he is playing like he wants away , Good riddance.
The club named them because they knew if they didn’t it would have robbed you of all the pleasure of moaning about it. They like to keep the whole fanbase happy, even the type of whingy wankers who could find a way to complain about the colour of the grass.
Giving youth a chance , Would not mind seeing this lot play together in some competition :

I like how you gave your own comment a thumbs up, because I don’t think anyone else did.
If need be he will come back with another alias and give himself more thumbs-ups.
Jeorge, having seen Jordan Wynter during pre-season, and being impressed with him.
What is your assessment of him, baring in mind his ill-fortune with injury, and do you think he has 1st team potential?
