Loan report- Aneke scores against former club and assist for Campbell as two more head out on loan

Arsenal’s band of loanees have acquired two further members in the past few days, with first-team outcasts Marouane Chamakh and Johan Djourou heading to West Ham and Hannover respectively for the remainder of the season. Neither were eligible to feature for their new temporary sides this weekend, but Joel Campbell was in action for Real Betis on Friday night, with the Costa Rican setting up a goal from his position on the right flank as his side beat Real Zaragoza 2-1.

Chamakh has made just four senior appearances for Arsenal this season

Back in England, Chuks Aneke was restored to the Crewe starting line-up for their League One clash with his former loan side Stevenage. The midfielder opened the scoring with a well-struck effort and was impressive before being withdrawn with 15 minutes remaining. His goal was not enough, however, as Stevenage, who brought on Luke Freeman late on, ended up winning 2-1.

In Spain, Wellington came off the bench to play the final six minutes as Ponferradina lost to Racing. Samuel Galindo is not expected to feature for Lugo against Guadalajara tomorrow.

In the FA Cup, Benik Afobe wasn’t part of the Bolton side which drew with Sunderland, whilst injury meant that Ryo didn’t feature for Wigan against Bournemouth.

Ju-Young Park is expected to be a substitute for Celta Vigo against Valladolid tomorrow, Nicklas Bendtner is still injured, and Denilson‘s Sao Paulo are not in action again until later this month. Similarly, there was no fixture for Philip Roberts‘s Inverness this weekend.

Thanks for such a well written report which has not even appeared on the official website as per now. I really wonder if the staff of the website are interested in football or even the happenings around the club? At times you find news else where before it surfaces on the official website.

Even signings, they wait util the player is on the pitch before they say anything.

Whilst we all love a good rumour there is little point talking up signings until they have signed. no.official site would do that. agree though about the.loaness the club are quick to wish them well at their new clubs (in most cases) but are very laid back about articles on their progress there are one or two exceptions but it is very much a.case of out of sight out of mind particularly for bendtner park campbell wellington galindo. However the lack of action means there is little to report in most cases. what i would like as a supporter who contributes a fair portion of my annual income is some transparency in the loan deals. ie. fees involved wages split etc.

You want the club to announce signing a player before we’ve signed him? I think you’ll find nobody else does that.

I don’t believe any other site on signings unless I see the whole shirt holding picture after what happened with Mata and Sahin everywhere they were saying done deals…etc
