Arsenal U18s v Bristol City U18s- Match preview

Arsenal u-18s take on their Bristol City counterparts at London Colney tomorrow looking to make it three wins out of three so far this season.

3-1 victories over Everton and Wolves may have been similar on paper, but brought about contrasting performances. Coach Steve Bould was dissapointed with last week’s showing in the Midlands and even went as far as saying that it was the worst performance he had seen from an Arsenal Youth side for a long time.

A little harsh, perhaps, but the young Gunners will be out with a point to prove when they step out onto the George Armstrong Memorial Pitch tomorrow morning.

The Gunners are top of group A with six points and are the only team from their section with maximum points so far. Bristol City are second in group B with four points.

In terms of team news, Luke Freeman, Emmanuel Frimpong, Sam Byles and Oliver Nicholas are all available again following the conclusion of the Zinedine Zidane Tournament, whilst Kyle Bartley could come in for Anton Blackwood at centre-back. Gilles Sunu picked up a slight injury in the Wolves game last week but is likely to be fit for this one.

Predicted team:

————————Shea———————-

—-Eastmond—-Bartley———–Ayling——Cruise—-

—-Sunu——-Frimpong———Thomas—–Watt——-

—————Murphy———-Freeman————-

subs: Rasmussen, Deacon, Evina, Henderson.

Tomorrow’s match kicks off at 10.45AM and a match report will be available later in the day.
