van den Berg joins FC Zwolle on loan

Winger Vincent van den Berg has joined Dutch side FC Zwolle on loan after a successful trial period at the club earlier this summer. The announcement comes shortly after the 19 year-old was named in Arsenal’s Champions League squad for this season and handed the no.54 shirt. Vincent spent the second half of last season on loan at Go Ahead Eagles and the 19 year-old will now continue his development in his home country.

Arsenal have announced their 44-man squad for this season’s Champions League with many reserve players making the cut. Thomas Cruise, Sanchez Watt, Wojciech Szczesny, Francis Coquelin have all been given numbers for the first time, whilst several players who were included in last year’s squad have also been given new numbers. There was one suprising inclusion, with Dutch winger Vincent van den Berg being handed the no.54 shirt, despite reports suggesting that he had left the club. Squad announced for Boreham Wood

Arsenal have announced a 17-man squad for tomorrow’s friendly with Boreham Wood, with Fran Merida returning from his holiday to play in the game, although the players who featured at the Amsterdam Tournament won’t be involved.
