Arsenal’s Spanish link club Salamanca will kick off their Liga BBVA campaign on August 31st at home to Alaves, with Gunners loanee Pedro Botelho likely to be in action. Their final game of the season is also at home, against Hercules, and you can keep up to date with Pedro’s performances throughout the season right here on Arsenal Youth. Salamanca have impressed in pre-season so far, starting with a 14-2 victory over Villamayor, where Pedro found the back of the net. They then saw off Don Beito 2-1 before being held to a goalless draw by Palencia last night. This week they take on Guijuelo, Cultural and Ponferradina as they look to step up their preparations. Meanwhile, rumours suggest that we are still chasing Juventus youngster Gionvinco, and are preparing a £5.8 million bid although he looks set to stay in Italy.
