Newly-promoted Jack Wilshere played the last six minutes as Arsenal came from behind to defeat Ajax 3-2 on the opening day of the Amsterdam Tournament. The hosts were 2-0 up at half-time thanks to two stunning strikes from Luiz Suarez and Klass Jan Huntelaar, but Arsenal responded with an Adebayor brace and a further goal from Nicklas Bendtner. Jack helped Arsenal see out the win by helping out with defensive duties-something he has been working on in training over the past couple of weeks. Jay Emmanuel-Thomas was an un-used substitute whilst Kieran Gibbs and Mark Randall have both travelled to Amsterdam and could be in action tomorrow when the Gunners face Sevilla. Arsenal currently top the table with six points, four ahead of their nearest rivals Ajax.
