Arsenal have today confirmed that midfielder Amaury Bischoff has completed his move to the club. Bischoff, who will wear the no.28 shirt, was released by his former club Werder Bremen when his contract with the German club expired on July 1, freeing him for his move to Arsenal. However, it has been reported that the move had been delayed as the Gunners were awaiting the decision of a UEFA tribunal which would determine how much Arsenal would have to pay in compensation. The details of that have not yet emerged but now the transfer has been completed he will link up with his new team-mates when the squad return to London Colney following tonight’s friendly with Stuttgart.

What a signing this could be. I see him as one to up the numbers. At least our depth is growing. And he could just, just be another one. But let’s not get too urgent, Bischoff could be Bitchoff, while he could also be one of Wenger’s ultimate. But I’m very happy about this – very, very glad, we’ve moved our hands in the shop.

A good signing but it seem as though Wenger is in the business to shop, improve and sell players. I respect his wage structure for now but Arsenal need replacement players in case of injuries worry. we lost the race becoz of our inexperience bench.

This is what really galls me about Wenger.
The club has a crop of promising English youngsters coming through but he would prefer to give a contract to a Wreder Bremen reject.
I hope Bischoff proves a good signing but to see him go straight into the first team squad at the likely expense of someone like Randall or Simpson makes me both embaressed and slightly saddened to be an Arsenal fan at this momment in time.

What a complete waste of money, unproven, and the pl is the most physical league in the world and we have no one over twelve stone, we need a keeper and a couple of experienced defenders.
Gallas and Toure do not work together and we suffered so many goals through poor goal keeping and set pieces, and what do we do we buy a handful of left footers.
I can not see the reason in the ‘future’ signings as they will go on to other clubs once they have learned their trade at Arsenal.
And Bracewell looks like she will sell to the slug, our Arsenal way is slowly disappearing, we are becoming a corporate and a trade mark like Nike or Addias.
What a waste

Why is everyone complaining, we haven’t paid a cent for him. He was coming off contract so if we do pay anything it will be small compensation. Also he is not a Bremen reject, they wanted to sign him but he wanted to come to Arsenal. Thirdly he said that he will play for the reserves and if he is good enough then will move on to the first team. Lastly he does not play the same position or style as either Randall or Simpson so he would not take their place, and if those two are good enough they will make it into the team. We have heaps of young British players coming through so i don’t see why people keep complaining about that.
