Spending time out on loan is an important period in the career of a young player. Last season, no less than 10 players joined other clubs on a temporary basis, with several of them set to make the step into the first-team in the coming season. Gavin Hoyte and Paul Rodgers previously stated their desire to go out on loan to Championship clubs. Subsequently there were rumours that both Watford and Norwich were after Hoyte and it seems more than likely that he will go on loan next season. As for Rodgers, he is a candidate for being released but is still commited and has been participating in extra training sessions at Hale End this summer.
Armand Traore is about to embark on his second season as part of the first-team squad, but there have been countless rumours of clubs wishing to secure his services on a temporary basis next season. West Brom are one such club, but with Pedro Botelho set to be loaned out again next season, Arsene Wenger may decide to keep Armand as his second-choice left-back.
Nacer Barazite has been linked with a temporary switch to Ajax as part of a link up between the two clubs as that would seem like a good option as he will be able to settle in easily. However, there is the concern that it wouldn’t help him adapt physically.
Mark Randall and Kieran Gibbs both spent time away from the club last season and could be set for further loan spells, possibly at Premier League new boys Hull and West Brom.
