Player of the season- Nacer Barazite

The votes have been counted, and Dutch striker Nacer Barazite has been voted your player of the season for 2007/2008. It was a close run thing, with Nacer beating Jack Wilshere by just two votes. It was an impressive season for Nacer, who scored six times in fifteen reserves outings and was also joint top scorer for the under-18s with thirteen goals. He featured in the first team too, coming on as a substitute in the Carling Cup against Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers and is seen by many as the cream of the crop of Arsenal’s reserves. A Dutch under-19 international, Nacer will be hoping to build on his impressive campaign next season.
