News-round up: Murphy determined to bounce back
First of all, striker Rhys Murphy has said that he is determined to bounce back from his injury problems. He had an excellent campaign last season when he was a regular on the scoresheet for the u-18s but he has had his opportunities restricted this term. He wasn’t particularly impressive last night and probably should have scored but last week against Portsmouth it seemed as if he was back to his best. He has a positive attitude and he has a decent chance of making it here in my opinion.
I noticed that there was a lot of criticism heaped on some of the reserve players after the performance of it and the majority of it was justified. What I couldn’t understand however, was some people complaining about Jay Thomas and how he’s not good enough to play for Arsenal. He didn’t exactly set the world alight when he came on, but he looked good and was playing out of position too. He’s one of the better players at the club and to be honest I don’t get what these people are complaining about.
In terms of international news, Nacer Barazite and Vincent van den Berg are in action for Holland tonight, whilst Kieran Gibbs and Carlos Vela are out of action because of injury.
The under-18s face Cardiff at the weekend in a vital fixture. They will be without many of their key players for that one, so it’s going to be difficult.
Check back tomorrow for the second part of the Jonas Rasmussen interview, if you missed part one then you can read it here.
And that’s that. More tomorrow and thanks for reading.

Unfortunately now that reserve games are on Arsenal TV you get all the plebs commenting on our youth players as well as criticising Almunia, Senderos, Hleb, Eboue or whoever’s the kneejerk reaction of the week. They are quie frankly sad losers and only time people ever give what they say the time of day is on the internet. Jay Thomas is a really good young player (as are all of those who played last night). I hope they don’t read the comments from because quite frankly they are unintelligent and moronic from unintelligent and moronic people.
