Three loanees were in action tonight, scroll down to find out how they got on
Jay Simpson- Yeovil 0 Millwall 1
Jay played the whole 90 minutes as Millwall saw off Yeovil 1-0 in a tricky away trip. A goal from substitute Basir Savage on 70 minutes was enough to secure victory for the Lions. Former Arsenal player Ryan Smith was introduced at the start of the second half. It was a tightly contested game with few clear cut chances. Simpson scraped a shot wide early on but other than that, both sides were forced to resort to efforts from long range. Millwall had Alan Dunne and Marc Laird booked for fierce tackles, but Savage’s sweet strike gave the Lions a vital win that takes them further clear of the relegation zone.
Mark Randall- Burnley 1 Charlton 0
Mark replaced Robbie Blake three minutes from time, but by then the decisive moment of the game had already passed. Burnley went ahead through Wade Elliott’s 59th minute strike and Charlton, lacking attacking power up front, failed to respond. Ex-Arsenal youth player John Spicer was introduced on 63 minutes.
Kieran Gibbs- Norwich 0 Stoke 1
Kieran was an unused substitute as Norwich lost 1-0 to Stoke. Mamady Sidibe scored the only goal of the game on 58 minutes.
