Arsenal have today been linked to Stockport County youngster Tommy Rowe. The eighteen year old came through the youth ranks at the club and hit the headlines with a hat-trick away to Rotherham. His manager Jim Gannon has said that Tommy has the potential to go on to play for England one day and that a move to a bigger club is inevitable. Arsenal scouts are now said to be interested in signing the youngster, although Tottenham are looking at him as well. He is a left-winger and that is a problem position for us at the moment. He would probably need a season or two with the Reserves to settle in and by then he could be good enough to play in our first-team. Or he could just be another hyped-up youngster, although his manager’s comments suggest otherwise.

I just spoke to some Stockport County fans on another football site and they realy rate Tommy Rowe and they personally think he could go all the way if he went to the right football club
I’ve heard Tommy Rowe is a really good little player with a good left foot. Apart from Reyes, I don’t think we’ve had a left sided midfielder in the squad for the best part of 10 years (Van Persie is a striker, Overmars, Pires, Ljunberg, Rosicky, Hleb are all predominantly right footed / right sided players)…!
It’ll be good to see a naturally left sided midfielder join the team, young, english and pacy – with an eye for goal too!
so is he 18 or is he 20 as the DOB you give contradicts the age with it
