Arsenal reserves play their first competitive game in a month on Monday, as they take on Fulham at Underhill. A lot has happened since the last game against Derby. We will be without top-scorer Nacer Barazite who dislocated his shoulder in the Caring Cup against Blackburn, whilst this game may come too early for Havard Nordtveit. Following this game, some of the youngsters will be hoping to be involved on Wednesday in the Carling Cup against Tottenham. Then, next Friday our FA Youth Cup campaign gets underway against Burnley at Accrington Stanley FC. It promises to be an interesting week and my major concern is that the team will be exhausted by the time they come to face Burnley on Friday night. The likes of Henri Lansbury could be involved in three games this week, so the coaching staff will be forced to rotate. Thankfully we have lots of options, so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Stay close to this site for the best coverage of all three games throughout the week, with match previews and detailed match reports including assessments of the players. I am going to the Reserves match on Monday, so hopefully I’ll be able to get some pictures up of that and I’m also going to the Carling Cup on Wednesday, so it’s going to be a busy week. Keep checking back and if you have any questions let me know.
