More on: Sanchez Watt

Sanchez has been at Arsenal since 1999 and was rewarded with a scholarship in the summer. A clever, tricky player, he is at home either on the wing or up front. Prior to becoming a scholar, the youngster, whose real name is Herschel, honed his skills at the clubs Hale End Academy. He made his u-18 debut last season and this campaign he has been a regular in the side, and scored in three consecutive games in September. He made his reserves’ debut last season, whilst still a schoolboy as he made a substitute appearance against Charlton at the Valley. Then, in September, he scored on his home debut after latching on to a pass from Jay Thomas. He has also played for England and featured prominently in the schoolboy Victory Shield last season. The Arsenal coaching staff have high hopes for him, but his attitude is a worry. He is also a keen musician and some of his tracks are definitely worth a listen.
